Residents chronically plagued by raccoons trashing garbage cans or cats turning cars into scratching posts might find relicf in a new “business briefcase by Michael Becker product carried by Dirk Beckmann of BH Lis. The product, called APC (Animal Protection Control), works through the animal's sense of smeil. A North Vancouver biochemist, new animal tired of a nightly ritual of raccoons ravaging the family garbage, came up with a malodorous chemical concoction that takes full advan- tage of a raccoon's sense of smell being at least 100 times more sen- sitive than a human's. Beckmann maintains a few strategically placed drops of the non-poisonous, waterproof, non- corrosive repellent will ward off any unwanted creatures of the night.
