Local students

STUDENTS FROM) six North
Shore high schools were among the
242 B.C. students awarded Simon
Fraser University entrance scholar-
ships recently.

At) Handsworth Secondary,
Shonagh Elaine Smith was award-
ed the Gordon M. Shrum two-
semester scholarship worth $2,400.
Fellow Grade 12 graduates Kyra
Keavah Roeck and Gordon Alex-

ander Charles received $1,200
Chancellor's entrance scholarships,
while Ellen D'Auria was awarded
the $1,000 Recreational Leadership
award.

Jennifer Hales and Christopher
Walkey, two Grade 12) students
from West Vancouver's Hillside
Secondary school, each received
President's scholarships worth
$2,400.
