City joins
“Fest
group

TWO NORTH Van City
council members will meet
with representatives of the
Lonsdale Quay Development
Company and the North
Vancouver Chamber of
Commerce in December to
form a committee to plan
Summerfest events.

The recommendation of
the City policy committee
was passed Monday night at
a North Vancouver City
council meeting during which
Quay genera! manager Enric
Martin invited council to par-
tiapate in Summerfest, and
gradually increase the City’s
role tn the event.

The first event of this senes
— Summerfest ’83 — includ-
ed an arts and crafts fair as
well as other activities.

Representatives of the
Community Arts Council,
Presentation House, the
North Vancouver Recreation
Commission, Folkfest, and
any other interested) com-
munity groups will be invited
to attend the mecting
