The North Shore, like any other com-
munity across Canada, has a number of
problems facing it. Let us see what problems
local people are concerned about.

Today’s question is:

‘What do you think
are some of the
North Shore’s biggest
problems?"

I don't think we have any
more problems than any-
where else ip Canada.
The recession and _ the
high cost of housing are

certainly nationwide
problems. One North
Shore problem I can

think of is the cutbacks at
Lions Gate Hospital. Oh
well, at least we have
clean air.

N. Shore pair charged
in ‘cocaine ring’ bust

The indictment also
alleges Giroday and Gary
Christopher John Vicze,
aged 29, of Vancouver,

conspired to import cocaine
into Canada between last
October | and November 30.

Schiewe and Sean An-
thony O'Malley, 30, of
Vancouver, are also accused
of conspiring to import the
drug into Canada between
November 1! and February
28.

Schiewe and O'Malley sull
face charges laid against them
in West Vancouver in
February.

Police allege the pair were
in a car in which a routine
check recovered 18 ounces
of cocaine with a street value
of $200,000. They were
charged with possession for
the purposes of trafficking.
