Gavin Dirom, aged 10, of
North Vancouver, was the
overall winner last weekend
in the tri-star baseball
contest held by the North
hore Optimist Club at
Delbrook Park.

Dirom also took first place
in the 10-year-olds division
with 117 points, followed by
Keith Allan with 107 and
Andrew Barnes with 93.

Scott Macey topped the
cight-yearolds group, with
Bobby Flather and Joshua
Chernon taking second and
third.

the Pacific Metro baseball
league to date was cancelled
after seven games because of
the high number of rained
out games.

The season began fresh
Wednesday night and each
team will play every other
team twice before going to
the playoffs.
