Journalists - whether we
hang onto their words or
curse them, the fact remains
that they have the
responsibility of keeping us
informed about the people
and events around us.

Most of us watch from the
sidelines, but for those who
are interested in current
events or in writing and
would like to learn the skills
necessary to break into the
field, Capilano College will
be offering a credit-free
course this June on “Getting
into Journalism.”

Instructor David Levy,
who after a career in
publishing and editing
founded the Moscow Bureau
of the CBC, was a foreign
correspondent for 14 years,
a teacher for two and is now
a free-lance’ writer,
describes the course as “The
