Ambulance Service's Infant Transport team. They transported Won to San Jose. He says they made his trip as comfortable a5 possibie. “They were really good. [c's small jet. smooth and quick,” said Won. North Shore resident Floyd Lansing became intrigued with the Infant Transport team and the service it provides. He has just finished producing and directing a pilot televsion program called Airborn 91! for Phil Reimer Communications which is set to air tonight at 8 p.m. on U-TV. It will also be aired on Knowledge Network. In the half hour program, Lans- ing profiles the Infant Transport team by telling three stories, one of which iy the Darryl Won saga. “We started talking about do- ing this last October and started shooting it last March and we just finished on May 14,”’ said Lans- ing. ‘*We travelled with Ross Hollaway, who works out of Lions Gate Hospital. The gov- ernment air service has six jets based in Victoria which are used as air ambulances and it also has 200 private-sector planes around the province it can call on.” Lansing said he was impressed when he first met Won and adds that he has now become a_ big boosier for the air ambulance ser- vice in B.C, “He's got a really terrific at- titude. He’s done a lot of promo- tional work for this service."’ Won. He has been at George Pearson Hospital since March [8 and will soon be moving into a con- dominium complex currenily where he spent five days. He was then transferred to Shaughnessy Hospital in Vancouver, where he would stay for the next six months. The accident left Won a quadriplegic; he is now confined to a wheelchair.
