THE NORTH Shore Information and Volunteer Cen-
tre has received many requests for volunteers from
non-profit agencies. The following is just a sample:
ASSIST PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED adult in
whirlpool and sauna one or two evenings per week.
Must be over 20 years of age and able to move a
wheelchair in and out of whirlpool. Good opportunity
for someone who enjoys visiting in a relaxing at-
mosphere.

BIKE RIDERS needed to help blind young adults ride
through Stanley Park on Sunday mornings. Tandem
bikes used. Volunteer must be over 25 years old and
have strong legs and be a good weight. Great experi-
ence if you enjoy fresh air and exercise.
INTERESTING RESTORATION WORK suitable for
a cabinetmaker who enjoys antiques. Item in question
is a 1907 street car which. needs tender, loving and
quality restoration. May be enjoyable for a retired

Wednesdays | to 4 p.m. .
ASSIST SPECIAL NEEDS TEENS in a program held
Wednesdays 7 to 9 p.m. in the Lower Lonsdale area.
Good experience in- working with the. handicapped.
Teen club atmosphere.
PROGRAM AIDE-SENIORS. Assist in setting up
tables, some food preparation and clearing up on
Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays 10:30 a.m. to 1:15
p.m. Volunteer must be over 19 years of age. Program
is for seniors.
PLAYCARE AIDES while mothers participate in
community school programs. Tuesday, Thursday or
Friday mornings 9 a.m. to noon. Free use of fitness
and weight room for this lucky volunteer.
