INCLEMENT THOUGH the weather may be, one of
the ways to satisfy that itchy green thumb is by getting
together with other green thumbs in a landscaping or
gardening course or workshop upcoming at Capilano
College.

If you want to start from scratch, Home Landscape
Design will help you upgrade, redesign or completely
make over your home landscape.

Starting Feb. 27 for six Tuesdays from 6:30 to 9:30
p.m., the sessions include a Saturday field trip. The
instructor is Rob Welsh, who teaches in Capilano
College’s Applied Landscape/Horticulture Program.
The fee is $175.

Spring Home Lawn & Garden Care helps you
prepare your spring garden as a professional gardener

would. Numerous aspects of lawn and garden bed
care are included.

Longtime BCIT instructor Jim O’Friel teaches this
workshop taking place Saturday, Feb. 17, 9.a.m. to 4
p.m. for a fee of $65, including lunch.

Year-round gardening with a greenhouse is increas-
ing in popularity. Home Greenhouse Practices will
show you the use, structurcs and practical operating
system of a greenhouse.

This one-day workshop on Saturday, March 3 from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m., is taught by Dr. Les Koskitalo,
coordinator of the Applied Landscape/Horticulture
Program at Capilano College and costs $65.
