NEWS pholo Neil Lucente Children’s art displayed A PRESENTATION of elemen- tary school children’s art is on display at the North Vancouver City Hall gallery until Dec. 9. _. The 35 pieces, chosen from art- work done by kindergarten to Grade 7 classes, were selected from 1,200 works shown in various shopping malls last year. The mall shows themselves at- tracted many favorable comments from business people and the public alike, and are an indication of the high quality of instruction that brought out the creativity in each child. As North Shore schools have an integrated curriculum, the subject matter of the works may have ref- erence to the children’s social studies, language, science, or art classes. All the pieces are matted and framed, the frames donated by parent groups or principals, and the matting done after hours by art ‘teachers.
