the Margaret Fulton Centre.

Dr. John Kennedy, psychiatrist
and clinical pharmacologist of
Valleyview Hospital, will discuss
An Update on Alzheimer’s
Disease at the North Shore Day
Care Services Society annual
meeting.

The event will take place Thurs-
day, May 28 at 8 p.m. at the
Margaret Fulton Centre, 1044 St.
Georges, North Vancouver, and
will be of particular interest to
health care professionals and those
concerned with family care.

The public is invited. A question
period will follow and_ refresh-
ments will be served.

First Peoples’ Cultural Festival.

The event happens Saturday,
May 30 at Capilano Longhouse on
the Squamish Indian Reserve in
North Vancouver.

The festival begins at 3 p.m. and
includes a display of Indian arts

and crafts, a barbecue salmon
dinner and an evening of tradi-
tional and contemporary Indian
entertainment.
