the house was located beside a
creek (a ‘‘burn’’), this became
known as ‘‘Hollyburn House,”’ a
name that was later given to a
local Post Office.

This house was later moved to

its present location, just west of
Lawson Creek.

Although. its siding and win-
dows have been altered, the form
of the building is intact and it
stands as the oldest known con-
tinuously occupied residence in the
Lower Mainland.
