College fashion show

Feminine for spring

BOLD AND vibrant colors
mixed with the newest in live-
ly florals, paisleys and
abstracts set the stage for the
look of Spring °85.

Young Vancouver
designers such as Lucinda
Jones and ‘‘Debbie and
Sherry”? show no lack of im-
agination in their. inter-
pretations of the new Spring
look.

The new direction. for
fashionable dress is ferninine.
Skirts are back and better
than ever. Pleated, wrapped,
sarong-style, softly gathered,
but always long, they Moat

somewhere between the calf
and the ankle. The big shirt is
in, and one in a bright color
is the staple for the season.
Among the hot new brights,
pastels in soft cool shades of
pink, peach and mint are also
evident,

The designers’ collections
are being featured in two

fashion shows to be held at -

the Your Seasons’ Hotel on
Saturday, March 10 at 1!
a.m, and 2 p.m. Vancouver's
cottage industries will also be
displaying their products.
The Retail Management
Department of Capilano Col-

lege is presenting the show,
with the proceeds going
toward a scholarship fund.
The $20 ticket includes
brunch or lunch. Tickets and
