June 21, 2000 BRIGHT LIGHTS Racers rally at 24-hour relay for kids “MORE than just a cun.” That was the slogan this past weekend at the Lions Society of B.C.’s 24-Hour Relay for Kids. Swangard Stadium served as party headquarters for the more than 3,500 par- ticipants who ran the tour-kilometre wack (sometimes more than once) to raise funds for disabled children all over the province. More than 1,300 kids will now be able to go to the specially designed Easter Seals camps thanks to their efforts. And lots of North Shore citizens did their part to add to the over $1 million grand total, Congratulations to evervone involved.
