Staged explosion causes damage A PORTION of a Porsche windshield flew through the living room window of a neurby apartment on Wednesday during a planned explo- sion for a TV series. ‘The sports car was parked on St. Georges Avenue between Ist and 2nd Street in the Lower Lonsdale area. Explosion experts for the series, Sentinel, used steel cable to tie down the doors and hood so they wouldn't fly off during the car's explo- ment’s carpet was scorched by the metal, according to North Vancouver Clty chief fire prevention officer Dave Burgess. No one was injured. Burgess said film people blow up things or start fires in the municipality under controlled conditions about 12 times a year.
