Af sucha deep hole is not fixed. water will seep directly into the ski body, and once that water freezes, the damage will be irreversible. When was the last time you had your skis or snowboard waxed? The base material on both is very porous, and should be waxed every five to 1G times you hit the slopes. Not only will waxing allow your skis to glide better, it will prolong the life of your equipment. When unattended bases get dry, they con- tract and, become brittle. You've no doubt made a sizable investment in your equipment. so remember to look after it so that you can continue to enjoy it.
