Taste of Vancouver Great Chefs
Cookbook, $29.95

Four great local chefs, three
from North Shore restaurants,
were at the Lonsdale Quay last
Saturday to sign copies of Taste of
Vancouver.

The book features recipes from
33 Vancouver-area chefs and 27 of
the area’s best restaurants.

It was written by West Van-
couver's Edena Sheldon, an inter-
national food writer and food sty-
list, and includes striking four-
color photography from john
Sherlock.

All proceeds from the book go
to Vancouver's Food Runners
program, which delivers prepared
and perishable food to the local
needy.

The North Shore is represented
in Taste of Vancouver by the
Beach Side Cafe (Grilled Game
Hens with Oriental Spices and
Noodles), Cafe Norte (Bongo
Bongo Soup, Dungeness Crab and
Red Pepper Chowder, Southwest

~ Corn Chowder) and the Salmon
House on the Hill (Alder Grilled
Jamaican Rum Soaked Salmon
~ with Papaya Relish; Pan Seared
Scallops with Red Plums and
Glazed Shallots).
