Jackson, formerly of the Jackson Five, and Tavior will be joined on stage by the Henry Young Orchestra and Calgary singer Chris MacGregor, whom Taylor describes as “mean and awesome, the new janis Joplin.” The concert, says Taylor, is with Jackson part of a planned Jackson Five reeion tour, Taylor's band, the Vancouvers, were the first Canadian band to sign with Motown Records. Taylor, whose singing career was nearly destroyed due to throat cancer, has appeared in concert a handful of times since his return to Vancouver.
