Place Stadium to launch the 1989 Vancouver International Boat Show. It is western Canada’s largest display of bosts and marine ac- cesseries with special features that assure enjoyment for the entire family. Produced by B.C. Boat Shows, this annual showcase is a joint venture of Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows and the Marine Trades Association of British Col- umbia. Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows provide funds to Canadian conservation and outdoor recre- ation projects from 22 other shows produced across . It is an international show in the truest sense of the word, bringing together the boating industry and the public. Retailers, dealers and manufacturers from the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island are joined by their counterparts from throughout Canada, the United States and Europe. With total exhibit space of 232,000 sq. ft. covered by more than 225 exhibitors, the Vancouver International Boat Show is the ideal setting to get a first-hand look at exciting new products. From there, the mermaid will be submerged in 60 feet of water at Saltery Bay, B.C., near Powell River.
