performs children’s
Christmas favorite

The Deep Cove Stage’s second
preduction of the season will be
the Christmas pantomime
Rumplestiltskin running through
this festive holiday season.

“*There’s always a big children’s
involvement,’' said the group's
Tracey MeNicoll. ‘It’s a show
that’s basically a kids’ show but
adults like it."

The two-hour show is a pan-
tomime in the British tradition,
with the lead male role being
played by a woman and the lead
femate role being played by a man.

“There's role reversal in it as
well as slap-stick comedy,’’ she
explained.

The Deep Cove Stage puts on
four productions a year and each
year performs a special children's
show. In the past, the seasonal
production has featured the shows
The Grand Old Duke of York,
Sing a Song of Six Pence and
Cinderella.

Tickets for the event, which runs
Dec, 17-21, 26-28 and Jan. 1-4, 7-
10, are $5 for adults and $4 for
children. On Dec. 20, the carol
ships will come to Deep Cove so
the schedule has changed to give
everyone a chance to hear the
