New — members elected to the Council fora two-year term are: Laurie Creak, Royal LePage Prince George Hardarshan Sandhu, Amex- Fraseridge Realty, Vancouver and Larry MacAuley, Royal LePage Kelowna, Westbank. Seventeen members of the Keal Estate Council are agents and salespersons elected to repre- sent all areas of the province. There are also two government-appointed public members. Anita Chetal of Coquitlam and Brian MacDonald of Penticton were appointed for a two year term effective July 16, 1999. The Council was established in 1958 under the Real Estate Act of British Columbia. Its principal functions are to supervise the conduct of real estate licensees, regulate the stan- dards tor licensing of cal estate salespersons and egents and ensure the interests of the public are protected against the wrongful actions of any licensee.
