THE body of a missing
North Vancouver man
was found on Sunday
near the Baden Powell
trail in a remote area
of Deep Cove.

Eimir Ebrahimi, 24, had
been missing since Feb, 25.
The mentally challenged man
was last seen by his mother
who dropped him off at his
father’s business on 15th
Street near Chesterfield
Avenue.

Ebrahimi had been miss-
ing for 18 days when two hik-
ers discovered his body, The
hikers were practicing rap-
pelling off 2 60-metre cliff
(200 ft.) in the Quarry Rock
area off Deep Cove Koad
when they spotted the body,
according to the North
Vancouver RCMP.

The area is near the Deep
Cove look-out.

Police do not suspect foul
play in the death. An autopsy
was to be performed yester-
day.

spokesman Mansur Azar said
Ebrahimii’s parents, Avim and
Kobra, were devastated,

“it’s a big surprise for us.
It’s too far off. Too isolated a
place,” said Azar.

Azar said the Ebrahimi
family had no idea how Elmir
ended up in the remote area.
