1/3 cup packed dark brown
sugar

2 tbsp. sifted flour

[8 tsp. baking powder

6 ounces semisweet chocolate
chips

I cupcoarsely chopped walnuts

Melt the chocolates with the

butter. Transter to a bowl and

let cool slightly. Add the egg.

Cover and refrigerate until
firm, about | hour.

Preheat the oven to 350
degrees. Shape the dough inte
I-inch balls. Place on cookie
sheets one inch apart. Bake
until cookies are slightly firm to
the touch, about 10 to 12 min-
utes. Let cool completely before
removing from the cookie
sheets. Store in a tightly
covered container.
