upgraded, restyled for 1988

STILL A strong favorite among
drivers who prefer the unique ride
and comfort qualities of a full-size,
body-on-frame car, the St.
Thomas, Ont.-built Mercury
Grand Marquis sedans and Colony
Park Wagons offer several
noteworthy upgrades, plus a refin-
ed appearance for 1988.

Restyled front- and rear-end
treatments give the 1988 Grand
Marquis a fresh, more contem-
porary appearance — yet still very
much in keeping with the car’s
traditional, full-size image. A new
standard wheel cover design fur-
ther contributes to this new look.

Additional subtle Grand Mar-
quis appearance changes are the
result of functional upgrades. New
drip mouldings will keep occupants
dry when entering or exiting the
vehicle, and new standard lower
bodyside mouldings add an attrac-
tive accent while providing protec-
tion against parking lot door
dings.

Front and rear bumper rub
strips also have been made stan-
dard on all *88 Grand Marquis
models for added protection
against minor bumper dents.
