Dear Editor

In response to a letter from
a Mr. Grant Willams of
West Vancouver responding
to a letter from Mrs.
Dawson’s | would like to
voice my opinion regarding
the operation of the North
Vancouver City Pound.

I have been hearing com-
plaints regarding the NV
pound since I worked for the
City of North Vancouver.
Nothing was done at that
time. Most people did not
know that they had to go
direct to City council and
mayor.

However, a month ago |

and reach the employees not
only through the weekdays,
but through the week-end. |
have driven through the gates
early morning 9-00 a.m. and
no one was there to open the
kennels. J have also felt the
floors, smelt the place and
what I have found the
animals being kept confined
in was enough for me to sup-
port the efforts of the people
of the City and District of
North Vancouver to con-
tribute their time and love
towards a pound we can be as
proud of as West Vancouver.
