big way. Denim this season
comes in many chic variations
and is still suitable for a casual
weekend. Dark denim is com-
ing back with a vengeance.

Denim is now available in
stretch and traditional ver-
sions. For a while, it was jeans
and khakis, neck and neck.
Not that anyone ever really
thought the tawny twills °
would replace jeans. Thanks
to a Western-wear revival,
denim has resurfaced. But
don’t feel limited. Look out
for pale, washed-out, beaded,
embroidered or distressed
denim in cargo, carpenter and
drawstring styles. As long as
they’re not Pleated or stone-
washed, you’re good to go.

Denim is big in every-
thing. Anna Sui’s long denim
skirt has lots of sparkle finish-

es. Beading and stitching with
tailored denim will dress you
up to go everywhere.
Cropped jean jackets, slim-
fitting denim pants rolled up
at the cuff and the denim
bustier are what is hot today.
We have ali seen it before
during our rebellious youager
days. But denim is now
smarter and hus cleaner look-
