‘Mismanagement ' claimed

The North Shore
Junior Canadians do
not have to worry
about how they are
going to handle the
opposition in the
playoffs of the West
Coast Junior Hockey

League.

Canadians, along” with
their total organization are
out of the league following

actions taken over the
weekend for alleged
mismanagement.

In a statement released
Monday morning, League
President Les Jeboult said
that ‘Our league regrets to
announce that the owner-
governor of the North Shore
Jr. Canadians, Stuart
Lawson, has this week
advised the president of the
disbanding of the North
Shore team for the balance
of the season.’

time of the disbandment and
would have entered the
playoff rounds scheduled to
begin this week.

Jeboult went on to say ‘As
a result of rule infractions
by the team management,
the suspensions were handed
down from the league
governors requiring Mr.
Lawson to replace the
manager and _ coaches.
Alternate team leaders
proposed by the league were
not acceptable to Mr.
Lawson nor was the league
in a position to assume their
operating responsibilities.’

According to Jeboult, the
action is against the
management of the club and
is not because of any action
by the players. He stated
that the ‘team management
haven't done their work’. He
indicated that there were
unpaid bills “financial
scrapes’ and that the club
management ‘got behind in
so Many areas’.
