Flames stage comeback

THE NORTH Shore Winter
Club Flames capped their
comeback with a 5-2 victory
over Seafair Friday and the
right to challenge Seattle in
the junior B hockey semi-
finals,

The Flames shook off an
opening round 5-3 loss to
Seafair with three straight
wins to move up the playoff
ladder.

Goal scorers through the
series included Jim Wilson

with four — all assisted by

Paul Tadey — and Jeff
Sherman in the 5-0 win, Kel-
ly Wright (2), Cam Drew,
Sherman and Mike Tearle in
the 5-3 victory and Wilson
(2), Wright, Tadey and
Keith Randall in the series
clinching game Friday.

The Flames’ best of five
playoff series with Seattle
opens this evening in Seat-
tle. Second game in the
series is Saturday at the
NSWC with game time at
8:30 p.m.
