Entries are again invited from all green thumbs on the North Shore. The North Shore Gardens Contest objective is to acknowledge the efforts of residents who in this way contribute to community improvement and beautification. Closirig date for entries is July 25,1993. North Shore Block Beautiful awards are given in recognition of the efforts of neighbours whose gardens, visible from the street, make their block or cul-de-sac a source of pride: to themselves and the community. Three levels of achievement will be acknowledged in each of the three North Shore municipalities: The person making the nomination need not bea resident of the block nominated. Nominations must be received no later than July 31st,1993. Entry forms and details are available at all North Shore Libraries and garden shops.
