Police Counsellor

The City of North Vancouver invites applications for the
position of Police Counsellor. This is an on-call municigat
position covering weekends, statutory holidays and
vacation relief. The Police Counsellor will provide
counselling support and information, beth in person and
telephonically, to R.C.M.P, members, crime victims and
their families in such situations as sudden deaths, family
disputes and juvenile matters. The incumbent will also
assist with the R.C.M.P. Employee Assistance Program.

Applicants must have training and experience in crisis
counselling and must have their own reliable transporta-
tion. North Shore residents are preferred and an
R.C.M.P. security clearance must be obtained as a
condition of appointment,

Salary range is $21.46 - $25.31 per hour (January 1993
rates), plus 12% in lieu of benefits, and casual mileag# for
the use of own vehicle.
