week in North Vancouver
District and City, West
Vancouver District and
along area highways.

North Vancouver District:

® Dollarton Highway Reconstruc-
tien:

Road construction in progress
along various sections of Dollar-
ton Highway. Road. closed.
Motorists should use Mount
Seymour Parkway as an alternate
route.

® Colwood Drive-Queens Road to
Highland Boulevard:

Road reconstruction in progress.
Local traffic only.

e Mount Seymour Parkway-Apex
to Mount Seymour Road:
Installation of underground elec-
trical wires by BC Hydro. Single-
lane traffic in both directions.
Expect delays.

* Keith Road-Mountain Highway
East:

Road widening in’ progress. Ex-
Pect-single Jane traffic only and
minor delays.

North Vancouver Citys:
No major road closures.

West Vancouver District
© Condor Place:

Work began Oct. 22 on road
improvements. Residents should
expect closures due to work
preparation and paving.

Department of Highways:
© Upper Levels Highway at Lons-
dale Avenue:

Eastbound traffic at the Upper
Levels Highway and Lonsdale
Avenue overpass project will con-
tinue to detour onto new east-
bound lanes. Access to Chester-
field and St. Georges avenues is
temporarily closed.
© Second Narrows Bridge:

Until July 1991, a detour will be
in effect at the south end of the
Second Narrows Bridge, north of
Wall Street at Bridgeway Street,

Red measles outbreak feared

NORTH SHORE Health is advising local residents of the potential for
an outbreak of red measles on the North Shore in the spring of 1991,

The heaith department is advising that people between the ages of 19
and 33 years of age who have never been immunized for red measles

may be at risk.

North Shore Health is offering a clinic specifically for the 19 to 33
years age group on Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The clinic will be held at the health department offices at 253 East
14th St. in North Vancouver. For additional information or to make an
appointment, call the preventive nursing program at 988-5231.
