By CHRIS LLOYD A BURGLAR spurred on by desperation led police on an exhausting chase by foot from the British Properties to the Lower Lonsdale area of North Van- couver. He began his frantic run after a British Properties resident notified West Van police there was a prowler on the property. During the chase the cat burglar shook off an RCMP tracker dog which tore the coat off the man’s back at Pemberton and Marine, and police finally apprehended the man at Lonsdale and 4th. West Van police officers kept up a running chase throughout, with additional officers being brought in to relieve the runners in a relay system at various points. As a result of that escapade — back on February Ili — three charges of break and entry and theft have now been laid against John Stephen Mc- Millan, of 1-242 West Fourth Street, North Vancouver.
