annual flower show and com-
petition at the Floral Hall, Van
Dusen Botanical Gardens,
Vancouver. There will be a
plant sale, door prizes and
refreshments avaiiable. Tickets
are $2 for adults and children

AUGUST 8 AND 9: From 1
p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and
10 a.m. to 5 p.m on Sunday,
the 19th annual Richmond
Garden Club Horticultural
Show happens at the
Richmond Arena, 7551
Minoru Gate. The show will
feature flowers, vegetables,
hanging baskets, fruits, baking,
home canning, flower arrange-
ments, commercial and educa-
tional displays, country store
and books for sale. Admission
is $2 at the door.
