Building Better Bikeways

Since 1991,the District and City of North Vancouver have
been working on a Bicycle Master Plan, which is intended :
to encourage more people to ride bicycles for work and
for pleasura and to enable cyclists to travel quickly and
more safely in North Vancouver. :

The North Vancouver Bicycle Master Plan was endorsed ty

~ both Councils in 1994. Included in the Plan was a prelimi-
ary bikeway plan which identified a network of existing’

and proposed bike routes across’ North Vancouver. The,
Pian has been refined, through two years of public input |
and field work bya ‘bicycle coordinator, and will soon go
forward to Counei! for endorsement... ;

: The Bicycle Network is shown on the following map,and

‘changes, hava been highlighted. We'd like public comment

and feedback on the Network before it goes to Councll.
