Currently, shoppers cross the
busy road using their cars, small
commuter buses or a pedestrian
crosswalk. .

The “safe and convenient” gon-
dola, he said, will be the ultimate
link.

“We think it is a very efficient
solution,” Heastip told the News.

It will reduce pollution, traffic
volume and travel time between the
mall's halves to three minutes.

Park Royal still needs the bless-
ing of West Vancouver to use the air
space over Marine Drive, he said.

Construction for the. project
should take about two to three
months once it begins, he added.

Park Royal invites the public to
view a “gondola show suite.”

The display is open beginning
at noon today and daily from noon
to 4 p.m. beside the concierge desk
at the Park Royal south mall. :
