THE LADY Blues soccer team shutout winless
Malaspina 1-0 last Saturday, moving the North
Shore college into sole possession of third place
in BCCAA standings. The win moved the Lady
Blues into third place.

Following the women’s game, the Capilano
College men’s squad played to a 1-1 tie
against second-place Malaspina. League lead-
ing Langara, meanwhile, blanked BCIT 4-0.

The Lady Blues’ next challenge is a big one,
as they host second-place Langara this Saturday
at noon. The men also face a daunting Saturday,
as they take to the field against first-place
Langara. Kick-off for the men’s game is sched-

uled for 2 p.m.

College basketball action is starting to pick
up, as the Blues’ men’s team play two exhibi-
tion games this weekend.

On Friday night, the Blues hosts the Strohs,
a senior men's championship team, at 6 p.m.
On Saturday night, the Blues tip-off against an
Alumni all-star team at 7 p.m. in what is
always a popular and fun-filled match.

The Lady Blues host UBC on Friday night
at 8 p.m.

Women's Basketball Clinic this Saturday.

Special guest speakers at this year's day-
long workshop, designed especially for coaches
of women’s basketball, include SFU's Allison
McNeili, WWU's Carmen Dalfo, North
Delta's Bill Edwards, nutritionist Barbara
Turner, and Canadian National Team coach
Kathy Shields.

Cost for the workshop is $50 per person, or
