North Shore Winter Club's
fast-skating -Midget™
hockey team brought. back
the
Penticton Midget
tournament Nov. 26-28 in
the Okanagan City.

NSWC went through the
three-day tournament un-
defeated in five games,
including final-day victories
of 11-2 over Nelson in the
semifinal and 6-0 over
Coquitlam in the cham-
pionship game.

The North Shore gang got
excellent defensive play and

North Shore then defeated
North Vancouver Rec
Centre 5-2 in the third round
of preliminary play, with
Scott Kerr getting the

winner in the third périod on .

Bird scored
winning goal in the semifinal
as NSWC scored five -times
in the first. peridd - against

chalk, Joe Murphay and Earl
each had two goals in the 11-
2 romp.

Goaltender Myles
Peckover recorded the
shutout in the title game with
a strong effort against
Coquitlam, especially in the
second period when North
Shore was protecting a 1-0
lead. Murphy scored the

the “B.C.°- Junior Football
Associaton, Juvenile
Division, held their awards
the Canyon
Gardens to celebrate. their
first season in the league. It
was a very successful season
