legislature scheduled a basketball

Carolina legislature in May to help

amended the state’s unique mari-
tal-aids (such as artificial penises)
law to permit health professionals
legally to possess six or more. For
non-professionals, possession of
six or more is a felony, and still at
issue under the state penal code is
whether possession of even a
single marital aid will continue to
be treated as a misdemeanor.

After a month-long investigation,
police in Lakewood, Colorado an-
nounced last month that the 100-
plus bullet firings that haa
frightened neighbors into believing
that gangs were engaged in
drive-by shootings in the area
were actually caused by the poor
aim of employees at the nearby
federal prison facility firing range.
According to a prison spokesman,
all employees, including clerical
personnel, must be trained in
firearms, and some apparently
missed not only the targets but
also a large hill that separates the
range from the complaining
neighborhood.

Georgia State Representative
Jimmy Benefield, 52, admitted in
August he was the one who
brought a dildo onto the floor of
the legislature. But he denied he
showed it-.to the 14-year-old
legislative assistant who had said
an unidentified man showed it to
him. According to two lobbyists,
Benefield occasionally walked
around the halls wearing the
device, covered by an apron over
his suit, and flashing it at
passersby.

the Global Ethic has avoided
issues such as abortion and does
not use the word ‘*God.”’

“Invoking the name of God
would have excluded all Buddhists
and many faiths with different
views of God and the divine,”
said Swiss Catholic theologian
Hans Kung.

The Global Ethic finds the
beginning of a solution to our
world’s misery in the so-called
golden rule — ‘‘We best treat
others as we wish others to treat
us’? — a sentiment common to
many faiths.

I agree. At the heart of the
golden rule or principle is the fact
that ‘we’? are all one, that there
is no separation on any level
whatsoever. .

Therefore, what ‘‘P’ do to
“you”? is being done to my very
self since J am you and you are
me! We are the “‘other.”

_ If 1am not seeing others’
greatness, others’ beauty, others’ .
magnificence, others’ innocence, I
am only projecting my own
deadness and guilt, my own
negativity onto them, and vice-
versa.

’ All perception is projection.

How very important it is, then,
to be our innocence, to love
ourselves, to know in our hearts
that we are worthy, deserving of
sincere acknowledgement and ap-
preciation.
