At the Capilano branch in Edgemont Village, well-known entertainer Susan Trudell will be back for the third annual Family Christmas evening. Always popular, this event combines sing-along Christmas songs by Trudell, accompanied by her father, with favorite Christmas stories from resident storytellers Fran and Jenny. There will be seasonai refreshments for ail. Family Christmas is at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16. Lynn Valley branch will hold a special Christmas Story time on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 10:30 a.m. Children aged three and up are invited for stories and fun. And at Seycove branch, a Give now to help CHRISTMAS IS drawing closer, and the time to give to the needy families of the North Shore is now. The West Vancouver Santa Claus Fund will close its office ‘on Dec. 18, but they would like to have donations of non-perishable food and new ‘or near-new toys by Dec. 15 to give them time to make up hampers for families. . Although cash donations are coming in, donations of both food and toys are down from last year.
