CompuCollege School of Business,
featuring clothing for young pro-
fessionals from the Bay. Tickets

Watch out

FOR MOST fashion-forward peo-
ple, getting the details right is a
must. This season there are a few
details that just can’t be overlook-
ed:

Look for the Chelsea boot ac-
companied by tighter-fitting denim
either rolled or cropped (to show
off the boot, cf course,) and a tur-
tleneck or sweater.

Vests and hats made popular by
the Irish rock group U2 are show-
ing up everywhere.

The Cowboy/Mexicar theme is
stil! evident in the hints of em-
broidery on a variety of clothing
items as well as in stonewashed

* jeans with strategically positioned
bandannas in pockets or wrapped
around the leg.

They call it the ‘thrasher’ look.
Thrashers or skateboarders hit the
concrete every day in North
America and more recently on the
streets in Europe. Now, they are
taking their place in the trend-set-
ting fashion circles just as cyclists
and surfers did before them.
Watch for the thrasher influence
on t-shirts with screened-on
skateboard decals.
