Professional and
amateur musicians will
be playing together at
Centénnial Theatre on
the North Shore on
Sunday as part of a
program initiated by

the Lynn Valley Lions
Club.

The first of the regular
series will be the Paul Perry
All Star Band who will
perform~ with the talented
Carson Graham Jazz En-
semble in addition to doing
some of their own works.

The Paul Perty Band
features such names as
Eleanor Collins, a big name
in Canadijan music who had
her own TV show, ‘Eleanor
Sings’ and has performed
around the world; and the
world famous jaxx guitarist
Henry Young who has
delighted audiences at Jazz
Festivals in Switzerland,

Moreah Sheldan

Morocco, the U.S. and
Canada. He has played with
Miles Davis, Buddy Rich,
Ray Charles and Kenny
Burrell.

Also performing will be
Linton Garner on piano who
has recorded with Billy
Eckstine, Dizzy Gillespie,
Sarah Vaughan and others; a
big brass section with such
names as Stu Barnett, Eric
Muir on trumpets, Jack
Fulton on trombone and the
arranger trombonist for the
Stan Kenton band, Ray
Sikora.

Music from the forties to
the eighties is forecast by
Paul Perry including blues,
rock and wide open jazz with
arrangements by Basie,
Glenn “Miller, Duke
Ellington, and Stan Kenton.

The performance starts at
two p.m.

Centennial Theatre may
