‘intelligent dialogue’ |
called for in debate

Dear Editor:

Doug Collins raises a lot of interesting points in his article on Aug.
7 about the Holocaust.

I presume we will now be deluged with the usual letters calling him
anti-Semitic, racist, etc

For 4 change it would be nice to see some rational, calm answers to
the questions he asks — not just a lot of hate Jiterature.

How about some intelligent dialogue on the subject to answer some
of these questions which keep arising?

CRTC gave
the go-ahead

Dear Editor:

It is good to note the strong
adverse reaction to our friendly
Shaw Cable's latest monopolistic
gouging actions.

But note. No recent published
letter on the Shaw subject has
mentioned one important fact,
which suggests it is not widely
known. | refer to the fact that the
CRTC (Canadian Radio-television
and Telecommunications Commis-
sion) has already given cable oper-
ators the go-ahead to repeat this
procedure this time next year.

Also, perhaps not realized, is the ™
fact that the thrusting of three un-
saleable channels on us was pre-
determined by CRTC. Cable oper-
ators were simply told to put plan
into action.
