THE UNIVERSITY Women’s Club of North Vancouver is celebrating its sixth anniversary. The club provides a forum for women to discuss broader community, na- tional and international issues. Membership is open to women of all ages who hold an accredited Canadian or foreign university degree. The club meets every se- cond Thursday of each month. After the regular business a guest speaker takes the floor. Members are invited to participate through a question period. Topics covered are diverse and thought provoking with a generous dose of humor to make them ail the more ap- pealing. Within the club there are various activities and interest groups, and these include an investment group, art ap- preciation, gardening, education, book club, com- munity affairs, bridge and several others. Members can attend all of the groups. Membership to the North Vancouver University Women’s Club is $25 per year.
