In the Quarter-Finals, the N.Y. Cosmos (A1) which received
the first-round bye will be seeded first, with the seven
remaining teams being ranked (2 through 8) on the basis of
total points. 1 will play 8, 2 will play 7, and so on.

The four surviving teams will play in the Semi-Finals. As in the
two preceiding rounds, the teams are ranked in order of
standings points from the regular season. The team with the
most points will play the team with the least, while the team

with the second-most points plays the club with the third-
most.

In the first three rounds, all best-of-three senes, the team with
the most points will have the second and (if necessary) third
games at its home stadium.

Soccer Bowl-81, which will be played at Toronto on Sep-
tember 26th, is a one-game championship.
