pened in Virginia recently, when
a woman amputated her hus-
band’s penis while he slept:

The government thinks sheep do
a service to the country by keeping
excess foliage growth to a mini-
mum, thereby making things look
neat and allowing wildflowers to
grow.

In fact, they even pay sheep to
do their thing on public lands.

On the other hand, it seemed to ‘a
our eye that the startling amount
of erosion we saw — some of the
streams looked like they were
composed of chocolate milk —
was certainly not hindered by the
close cropping of the sheep.

A bit more ground cover, and,
dare we say, a natural regenera-
tion of some of the original forest-
land, definitely seemed to be in
order,

But it’s easy to see faults in
other countries, and ignore or
overlook abuses happening i in your
own back yard.

It’s no secret that each of the
world’s citizens has a long way to
go when it comes to environmen-
tal awareness.

The importance that we do so,
however, is underiined by travel-
ling and seeing the rich natural
diversity and heritage that we all
stand to lose if we don’ t get
smart, soon.
