Woman
accosted

A woman was
grabbed from
behind on Sept. 9
by a man who
apparently held a
knife to her throat
on Marine Drive in
the lower Capilano
area.

According to the
North Vancouver RCMP,
the woman was walking
home alone on Marine
Drive near Tatlow
Avenue at 10 p.m. when
she was grabbed

The woman, in her
mid-20s, said her
assailant held her in a
head lock and tried to
drag her into an alley,
according to polige The
woman did not sre a
knife, but said the man
held a metal object to her
face. She was threatened
during the incident.

Police say the woman
was able to escape when
the assailant lost his grip.
The woman ran to a near-
by store and calisd9- 1-1.

The — assailant — is
described as being
Caucasian, 1.9 metres
(6°3,") 91 kg ( 200 Ibs.,)
in his 20s. He has blond
hair in an overgrown
brush-type style.
