Whether it’s a music video, a public service armouncement or a plain old slice of life, all Canadians are being invited to submit short videos: to the Canadian Video Challenge, part of Canada 125. New work to premiere at summer music camp THE WEST Coast Amateur Musi- cians will perform a new work by Latvian-born composer and vio- finist Imant Raminsh at their eighth annual Shawnigan Lake Music Holiday. The group will perform Gloria, which they commissioned, for the first time. Raminsh has writ- ten dozens of choral and or- chestral works which incorporate folk melodies of his native land.
