The first program, on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 7:30 p.m., is entitled Two Perspectives on the Ordina- tion of Practising Homosexuals. Speakers will be Rev. James Hillson and Rev. Dr. Donald Faris. Moderator Michael Hoole is a lay member of West Vancouver United Church. Rev. Hillson is minister of St. James United Church in Van- couver and a member of ‘‘Friends of Affirm,”’ a grou, in support of gays and lesbians in the ministry. Rev. Dr. Faris is minister of North Lonsdale United Church in North Vancouver and author of Trojan Horse, The Homosexual Ideology and the Christian Church. The topic of discussion at the second evening, Tuesday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m., will be Deci- sion-Making and the Court System in the United Church. A third program will be held in mid-April, with speakers still to be announced. The final evening will take piace on Tuesday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Victor Shepherd, minister of Streetsville United Church in Missisauga, Ont., as special guest. Rev. Dr. Shepherd is a member of the Karl Barth Society and author of Making Sense of Chris- tian Faith. His topic will be Nature and Authority of Scripture.
