Finding money you need

THIS YEAR’S federal budget pays special atten-
tion to the problems many small businesses have
in finding money to get started.

his May 23 budget speech.

Wilson’s budget proposes
two changes to income tax
rules that he iays will get in-
vestors to put their money
back into business. The first
involves creating a $500,000
“lifetime exemption’ for
capital gains. The second in-
volves allowing registered
retirement savings plans
(RRSPs) to invest in small
business.
