The eighth annual running of the Norih Shore News Satin Race for cruising sailboats is set for Sunday June 23rd. : The Race Course: Racers from previous years will be familiar with ‘the course; from the start line, extending from Dundarave Pier to the Committee Boat, to a marker (leave to port) set % mile WSW off Point Atkinson Lighthouse; to the Point Grey Bell Buoy (leave to port); to a marker set 0.7. miles:south of the center channel rrarker {leave to starboard); to the finish line off Kitsilano Yacht Club (sail between the finish marker and the Committee Boat). The Start and Finish: The Committee Boat will conduct the stast at 10:00 a.m. All entrants must sail close by the Committee Boat and identify themselves well prior to the start. After crossing the finish line, please sail close by the Committee Boat to once again clearly identify your vessel. The race ends officially at 3:00 p.m. Any boats not across (or. anywhere near) the finish line at that time should start engines and proceed directly to Granville . Island Market for moorage.
